Ever since giving up my daily Starbucks frappacino two months ago, I have been really paying attention to how much I crave sugar. So part of my Summer Bucket List included creating new smoothie combinations that the kids would actually drink. We've been managing to keep it healthy (for the most part!) with smoothies like these:
Summer also means we get out a lot and enjoy everything awesome in San Diego. This week I took the kids to the San Diego Botanical Gardens, a true San Diego gem. We enjoyed a full day at Legoland California - be sure to enter the family 4 pack of tickets giveaway! Now that we are at the mid point of summer, don't you agree that we need to take a little time to plan something nice for ourselves?
This Buster Bar Dessert shared by Grandparents Plus is beckoning me to find something to celebrate! Hmm... maybe I could serve this at the luncheon I want to host. I'm a sucker for caramel and Oreo cookie crust and ice cream.... don't you want to make it right now? A friend of mine used to work at Dairy Queen in high school so I'll have to see if I can do this justice!
